A3: I do purchase my own supplies from time to time, but I keep it cheap. I find that there are a lot of things you can do with minimal materials. #NSTAchat

A5: I try to purchase items through the BOCES bid which is basically a way for school districts here on LI to have a greater purchasing power by bidding out to the lowest bidder. #NSTAchat

Q4: Our state science ts conference had the first Teacher resources share a thon. Ts who retired cleaned out their classroom and share their leftovers with other teachers. It was a "free" garage sale. #NSTAchat

A4: When planning lab activities I always look at things that can be done with basic equipment that is reused from year to year. It’s amazing what you can do with basic supplies. I try not to do labs that consume expensive items. #NSTAchat
