Been lurking around Twitter/X for years, mainly using it as a source of news or getting a feel for how many people there are out there who express dangerous or utterly stupid opinions. Some times it seems like our society is being an utter sweet.
There are lots of lovely….
Exactly. It’s just a nuisance and annoys fans, especially when it costs so much to get in. They already state that you can’t use any media professionally and must be for personal use, policing the equipment just penalises the keen amateur with decent kit.
I suspect as much as anything it’s to appease the pro photographers who probably pay a fortune to be there.
Labour always frame their policy updates by demonising the people they are targeting, so that they can then get general support for the policy.
“Why should rich people get a tax break to send their children to private school?”
“Why should millionaire pensioners get triple lock and winter heating allowance?”
“Why should millionaire farmers dodge inheritance tax?”
They are fundamentally incapable of communicating policy in rational terms.
Also, it’s a stupid tax. If they are going to tax education then why not university fees? The fact that they didn’t go down that road is, in my opinion, evidence that this was just a spiteful policy.
@MooseAllain You used to pop up in my feed all the time. Your humour and art always brightened my day when many other aspects of my life were tough to deal with.
I hope you are well, from a stranger on t’internet.
@YesterdaysBrit1 Food availability was much more seasonal in the 60s than it is now. New Zealand lamb would have been in the butchers when UK lamb was out of season.
@ChwisSweed This one at RIAT in 2003 was pretty good. If memory serves the Nighthawk pilot was an ex-Red on exchange.
‘Scuse the bad photo. My first digital camera and they weren’t great back then.
@HBrubanter@MercerCait Ideal when you want to store curry spices. A bit of masking tape stuck on the top with the contents scribbled on with a sharpie makes it look proper rustic, like. 👍
@KingBobIIV@iainmacwhirter Nail on head with that first sentence. How did people not see that? To me, she looked terrified. The adults with the phone weren’t walking away when most sensible people would have done that.
@Only9built Topless. That’s such an elegant design.
Also, the top one loses marks because it’s the facelift model that lost the lovely triangular tail lights, and some dick has gone and put a leaper on the bonnet, which is one of my pets hates.
