Seven years ago, when we started dating, I was in between jobs and already telling my then-girlfriend that I would eventually leave this corporate 'thing' to build businesses of my own.

She strongly disagreed.

Coming from a very different background, she wanted a simple life, a 9-to-5 job, a steady income, and some peace of mind. On the other hand, I am much more comfortable with chaos and uncertainties.

I still insisted that I would eventually quit corporate and become an entrepreneur. She was already deep in love, so I guess it was too late.

Fast forward to now.

Guess who walked away from a potential six-figure offer to start her own law firm in Ontario? Yep. Her.

My consolation is that I have officially been appointed Office Manager. I handle operations, systems, productivity tools, and intake, while she handles the law.

What has impressed me most is the feedback from her clients. She combines strong legal expertise with professionalism, empathy, and a genuine commitment to doing the right thing for her clients.
