Anna @TVKVijayHQ, just like the LPG subsidy option for financially capable consumers to voluntarily opt out, electricity subsidy can follow a similar model.

I personally do not need the 200-unit free electricity subsidy. It can be redirected to those who genuinely depend on it. As long as I am earning, I am willing to pay for the power I consume.

The real issue in Madhavaram is not the bill but the poor quality of electricity supply. Frequent power cuts, low voltage, and constant fluctuations continue without a permanent solution. Even today, power went off four times between 1:00 AM and 2:40 AM. Right now, voltage is fluctuating between 170V and 190V instead of the expected 230V.

These issues are causing residents to lose electronic appliances and badly affecting quality of life. Kindly direct the concerned officials in Madhavaram to permanently resolve these long-pending power infrastructure problems.
