@shdeepsy Uh, I did. You can see all my other posts about it. The meme is false and fake news. You mad because something something troll troll.
But idc. You're engagement boosts my posts anyway so thanks ๐๐
Paid Parental Leave
One Nation has often supported parental leave in principle but opposed specific legislation where they believed the scheme increased costs to taxpayers or employers, or where they considered the bill poorly designed or overly complex.
@NannanBay The Bill in Parliament being discussed relates to sex-selective abortions.
You know, the kind we find sexist & disgraceful in other countries, but for some reason all bets are off when it comes to killing girls babies...because they are girls in the good ol' land of Oz.
@jerseyh0mo@GemmaNoiosi Davey, Continue to read and act out Herod Agrippa I in Acts 12:20โ23 if you are so sure God doesn't exist. The Bible and archeology are a beautiful symbiosis of evidence of God and Jesus. Whether we will ever understand God and his ways on this earth.. Who knows.
@brandonpierce@MetamateDaz Sick days are money already set aside by the worker (if they are FT). That's why casuals get a higher hourly rate, and FT staff get a lower one...because the employer takes money off your hourly rate and sets it aside for your sick leave & annual leave. It's legit your money.
In Australia, legally you can write a Statutory Declaration instead of wasting money to go see a doctor (for one day off).
Don't let an employee bully you that you need a medical certificate every time.
Agree with below.
You earned those sick days (it's legit your money)
Adults should NOT have to bring doctorโs notes to their employer like weโre 8 years old asking for a bathroom pass. Youโre a grown adult with bills, responsibilities, and a full-time job. If you say youโre sick, that should be enough. Forcing workers to pay $150+ for a doctor visit just to prove theyโre not faking it is humiliating and dystopian. Your body doesnโt need corporate permission to be sick. And making people drag themselves to a doctor while contagious just spreads illness in the office.We trust adults to vote, sign contracts, raise kids, and serve in the militaryโฆ but God forbid they take a Tuesday off without a permission slip.
Apparently thinking that:
Murder is worse than racism,
Theft is worse than racism,
Rape is worse than racism,
Pedophilia is worse than racism,
Arson is worse than racism,
Human Trafficking is worse than racism,
makes you the extreme right. ๐คทโโ๏ธ
@shdeepsy Nope.
It's like calling a Bill
"Protection of Children Bill", but the devil in the detail allows for pedophiles to have custody of children in welfare.
If Pauline Hanson voted against the bill, you can't very well say, she voted against the protection of children.
@jjmcvey@OneNationAus@vic_socialists Continued ...
Higher taxation on wealth and corporations.
Support for expanded public housing.
Skepticism of large corporations and private monopolies.
Viewing economic inequality as a major social problem.
Australia needs another referendum. If @OneNationAus gets elected, they should make this happen.
Communism should not exist in Australia.
Bye bye @vic_socialists :)
@MickamiousG Australia had a referendum to ban communism in 1951, losing 49.44% (Yes) to 50.56% (No).
The logic was exactly the same - should Gov be able to ban ideologies, and the Communist Party of the day.
Today, ironically, the communists want to ban their opponents.
@jjmcvey@OneNationAus@vic_socialists A few areas where Victorian Socialists & communist parties overlap :
Opposition to capitalism as the dominant economic system.
Strong support for trade unions & collective bargaining.
Support for public ownership of utilities, transport, housing, and other essential services.
@shdeepsy The meme is posted as fact, not opinion. I fact checked it and replied with a bunch of reasons that ON stated for their opposition. You mad because reality hit you in the face? ๐๐ค
@_davidlimbrick I'm more concerned about the Communist infiltration of Labor. Jacinta Allan & her party ARE the hard left, & THEY are the most dangerous thing to Victoria right now. I cannot believe my party is supporting this ramming bill created by Labor. You can't trust them. Bad call.
@shdeepsy You asked me what was fake about the meme. I clearly outlined what was fake. (If you want to say that's my opinion, well duh, the words in the meme are OPINION too).
You're response is to say I'm being retarded ๐๐๐.
Good work.
Jog on dip stick
@jjmcvey@OneNationAus@vic_socialists I'm not opposed to socialism either. I'm opposed to Government-led, Government-mandated, & Government-coerced socialism.
Socialists should get on board with Libertarians. They might actually achieve some socialist outcomes in real life communities that want it, if they did.
@jjmcvey@OneNationAus@vic_socialists Seeing how pervasive "communist reasoning" has become (think slow march through the institutions), I disagree now, and think it needs to be stamped out, right from the get go. Western civilization was founded on different values & we should fight to protect them.
Working From Home:
One Nation argued that working-from-home provisions should be negotiated between employers & employees rather than mandated through industrial relations law. They raised concerns about productivity, supervision, & additional compliance burdens on businesses.
@alexB00683977 For me?
It's not complicated - additional laws were not required - the additional laws elevated sex and DEI above competency and work output. That's wrong.
Equal Pay
One Nation's position was that people should be paid according to the job performed, skills, experience,&performance, rather than introducing additional regulatory mechanisms. They argued Australia already has equal-pay laws & opposed increased industrial regulation.
@Timothy81923887 Those studies were designed to support the viewpoint from the outset. If you conducted the same study on business owners and their view of "increased productivity", they'd say something different.
It is NOT the Governments job to dictate to a business how it operates like that.
@jjmcvey@OneNationAus@vic_socialists I'm a Libertarian member & my views on this probably aren't in line with other party members, but I think it's open to debate.
Communism causes real harm & the lived experience of those under communist rule is horrifying. Banning/outlawing something that causes harm, why not?
@telesynth_hot If you put your blood sweat and tears into a business, would you want the government telling you how to run your employees in a office or WFH capacity? Would you want that enshrined in law, limiting your ability to manage your staff?
That's not right, and you know it.
