@twominreason@vincent_vancode@Westpac I mean... If I weren't in fraud and scam prevention and hadn't seen people spend tens of thousands of dollars into crypto after guaranteeing the banks they knew what they were doing and the govt forcing the banks to pay them back.... I'd agree with you.
@MickamiousG Banks are gonna bank.
The government are to blame. The 5% deposit guarantee was a massively irresponsible implicit vote of confidence in the market from what the average person would consider an authority figure.
If the market massively flips the deaths will be on their hands.
@PinguCapital I've gamed it out a lot and I tend to agree. I guess I am a bit blackpilled that the government has managed to stretch this out this long. And the immigration figures in the latest budget blew my mind. They are so blatant in not caring what the people want.
@1444_kris@bowtiedstocks You're missing the positive news.
We are immigration maxxing so we can have that... plus lower social cohesion driving high crime rates!
Yay
@ausstockchick@Sadrian120 Exactly. If anything what has been done is somewhat fair in the context that it screws everyone equally.
What concerns me is poor people cheering for this thinking it only hurts the rich when it has damaged their class mobility as much if not more.
