Left wing activist group GetUp is demanding Meta purge Pauline Hanson and One Nation content from Australian feeds, weaponising corporate tech to silence conservative debate.

Interim chief executive Paul Ferris signed the email ordering Meta to strip the cash from right wing pages and shut them down. One Nation South Australia leader Cory Bernardi had been booted off Facebook the day before, and Meta still won't say which rule he broke.

GetUp claims to defend democracy, yet we couldn't find a single campaign they've run aimed at anyone on the left. Meanwhile One Nation says the account posting that "the only good right-wing Aussie is a dead one" stayed up while its own pages came down.

Then there's the rules GetUp expects everyone else to follow. This is the same outfit that had a screen installed inside the National Press Club without permission the day before Pauline Hanson's address in June, dropped a banner on her mid speech, then claimed it with the line "we thought the occasion deserved some honesty, so we provided it". Ten weeks later ACT Policing told One News the matter is still under investigation, and nobody has been charged.

Haven't GetUp and their Labor allies learned yet? The harder they come after One Nation, the more popular One Nation gets. Every censorship attack only proves the blatant double standards of the left and makes voters more determined to fight for free speech and democracy.

Chris Kenny calls out Prime Minister Anthony Albanese for treating Australian voters like “fools”.

“The man who said he wouldn’t touch negative gearing and capital gains tax says One Nation is dishonest,” Mr Kenny said.

“He's made working families poorer, rents higher, homes harder to buy, electricity prices higher, taxes higher, debt higher, inflation higher, the cost of living higher, and he says it's One Nation that's not on the side of working people,” Mr Kenny said.
