This month we celebrate #ADA30 by recognizing employees like Erik who are proudly themselves day in and day out. Thank you for helping us build a culture of understanding and advocacy! #LifeAtATT https://t.co/64hiD8IRki
You live in a society whose every production industry is based around a government-subsidized chemical feedstock.
Corn is not a _food_.
Corn is a _platform_.
Haskell is a simple functional programming language that is easy for beginners to learn, provided that those beginners have undergraduate-level experience in lambda calculus and category theory. (It's a shitpost, don't @ me)
me: security never needs to conflict with development! as a security lead with dev background, i will always keep our interests aligned
me 2 months later: if the devs don't fix these low-priority vulns today i will throw my laptop into the sun and resign
@brob I'm not sure that web-hosting should come right after learning basic HTML. If for some reason one needs to go from 0 knowledge to hosting an HTML only web page then git is probably a good conversation to have.
Fun fact! Baby elephants are born weighing ~250 pounds, making them the world’s biggest babies, right next to the people who complain that CSS isn’t really coding 🧠✨💅🏼
It's the act of making, it's the ups and downs, it's the draw of a community, and it's the simple pleasure of pulling the plunger again. These are what keep me coming back.

@ThePracticalDev Solid practices around code review can have a big effect on limiting complexity! If I submit a PR and it takes longer than minutes to get it we should talk about if it's necessary

Biggest source of preventable complexity?
Rushing. Good, clean, simple code happens when you have time to think it through and prototype. Banging away at a task in hackathon mode is what leads to hot messes you need to clean up later.
Time for #DevDiscuss!
Tonight's topic is... Handling complexity.
Let's start with some questions
- Where does complexity creep in when preventable?
- When is complexity inherent in our work?
- How do truly limit complexity?
- Which tools most effectively reduce complexity?

Hey, so I like wrote a thing. Just some thoughts that have been in my head. Think I'm gonna do some more of this.
