I was always interested in Amazon’s healthcare ambitions, but knew it would be all together different if they went to brick and mortar. I guess we are there now!
@JConnol We used SmartExam from @BrightMD_Health instead of going to urgent care, which was a life saver on a Sunday night when my wife was watching multiple kids and I needed to get to the airport. Had prescription in-hand in <1h. Urgent care had 3h wait.
@JConnol Agreed! And for many low acuity visits, asynchronous may be the preferred approach by doc and patient. Wasteful and inefficient to consume synchronous resources just to bill.
@jfschneidr@TailorMedTweet Agreed! There is obviously a ton of need for patients, but there’s actually a lot of financial assistance available. However existing tools and processes are so manual and limited in their reach. @TailorMedTweet makes matching patients w/ financial assistance available at scale!
45% of patients would need financial assistance for bills exceeding $500; 66% would need it for bills exceeding $1k
34% of patients have never received a pre-visit cost estimate
80% of patients are less likely to defer care when affordable payment options are available
We’re proud to announce our newest partnership! @TailorMedTweet is dedicated to helping patients and the US healthcare industry tackle the financial challenges of care delivery. We look forward to innovating alongside them to address financial needs at the point of care.
@JConnol@RelentlesHealth Awesome! I saw the title on the new episode notification and was excited to check it out. Didn’t realize it was you. Looking forward to it!
26% of patients didn't get financial assistance to help pay a medical bill they couldn't afford
72% of patients think their healthcare provider should consider affordability in making treatment recommendations

Really enjoyed this episode...
“Do the portfolio companies that we work with want to work with us? I always say to my team ‘I much prefer to get 4x and be loved and respected than 5x and be despised and feel like we took advantage’”
It’s a long game. Be good people.
One of the most humble, caring and genuine people in the business. An honour to do this one with Nigel Morris @QEDInvestors.
Love to hear your thoughts on why lending/checking is optimal insertion point?

Impressed by the depth of analysis in this 6k+ word breakdown of Bright Health’s S-1 by @olearykm and Ryan Russell.
While Bright is on the road to become the next UHG, will it develop competencies beyond efficient asset acquisition?

This was an inspiring lecture from @bgurley. Loads of wisdom and motivation. Following Bill’s advice to “study the pioneers”, this is a good place to start. https://t.co/xhjUl5iyd2
@greels1 Really enjoyed this! Would love to hear more about the underlying assumptions driving projected ‘21 funding totals. Quite a step-up from previous years(!), but makes sense. I’m expecting growth in rounds sizes outpaces growth in number of deals, but we shall see.
