@samhenry1128@de_jever It’s not wrong, but the government need to ensure productivity is rewarded which it won’t be if that wealth becomes entrenched in areas that don’t produce value (rent seeking). I’m not suggesting the government are doing any of this well.
@simonmanto32773@realSi_jeff Council tax pays for local services. Local services in areas with lower property values don’t cost less so will local government now completely fund councils and redistribute from areas with higher property values?
@lmicay58@RobertJenrick My wife’s been here since she was 12 but doesn’t hold a UK passport. She works in education and would likely lose her job if this was placed into law. We’d probably just leave as I suspect many other skilled workers will. More brain drain from the economy.
@prestonkelly29@AliceTalksFooty Bayern Munich put 5 past them over two legs. If they set up to attack there are definite weaknesses defensively. Bayern’s problem, and likely Arsenals, is being too slow in transition. Think Arsenal will need to set up for fast counter attacks, get players running in behind.
@CharlieSansom Because Reform voters will live in those same areas. Imagine alienating your voters with such nonsense because of how others in their area voted 🤣🤣🤣
@BenGrahamUK@MarieBell626390@ZiaYusufUK Except Reform voters who live in areas without a Reform MP.
It’s such a dumb policy 🤣
Way to isolate potential voters.
@wolfy9435@RichieBrave@LondonFire Someone I know lost 3 years of no claim bonus with their insurer, even when no claim was made, when they informed their insurer about a potential person who may try to make one because of a close call and they were worried their insurer may take a dim view if they didn’t notify.
@alemonsqueeze@Jenny_1884 You get £325,000 x 2 if two parents with full nil rate band, and for a property going to a direct descendent you get an additional £175,000 per parent. https://t.co/gBMKo6ApUz
@alemonsqueeze@burgersnchips@Jenny_1884 If the government could only tax new income there would be zero incentive to work. The rich would just buy assets, pushing their price through the roof.
@alemonsqueeze@Jenny_1884 Are you suggesting inheriting a property worth more than a million, and paying tax on its value only above that value would not make your kids lives easier?
