This is my fifth year doing Lent — but this year, I’m doing it differently.

In the past, I set strict goals:
No smoking.
No drinking.
No junk food.
More Bible.
More gym.
More discipline.

This year, the focus shifts.

Instead of striving for outcomes, I’m focusing on becoming more Christ-conscious.

Meditating on who Jesus is.
His sacrifice.
My salvation.
The power of the Holy Spirit.

When the mind is fixed on Christ, the fruit follows. The right choices flow from the right focus.

I’m also committing to learning more about the Anzacs and Australia’s war heroes 🇦🇺🪖 — men who laid down their lives so we could live in freedom.

Easter is about sacrifice.
We are receivers of what others have done for us.
Receivers of salvation.
Receivers of freedom.
Receivers of blessing.

Yo, took my boys to the pro-life rally just now — awesome, massive gathering. Thousands of Queenslanders have come out in support of life.

We need real change in Queensland and Australia. Around 100,000 Aussie babies are aborted every year, and it’s not good enough.

We need to fix our economy, support young families, and help women. Men need to step up too — our role is to show confidence in the future. If you get a woman pregnant, you stand by her. Marry her. Bring back shotgun weddings, I say.

We want to radically reduce the number of abortions. It’s not good enough — but things can change. Things can get better.
