BREAKING: The 15yr old Bite of Seattle shooter is being released on home monitoring.
With another shooter dead and multiple shooters unknown...
There is now nobody behind bars for murdering 2 and shooting 4 innocent people trying to enjoy one of Seattle's long time festivals.
I’m 90% the opinion of “Just let it go and move forward, dude” but 10% “they kissed (supposedly), that’s kinda mixed signals. But I’ve made out with women on first dates and then they say there’s no spark so I suppose that can happen 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️
Also, like he hasn't really done anything to assuage the concerns of moderate, Black and Jewish voters (that he lost in the primary). There is clearly a very late concerted push to appeal to Black voters but it seems to be a 4th quarter push, when it should have been a "day one, after the primary" type thing.
Again, I still think he's going to win because of the environment but there's some obvious major worry about the Black vote there. And to me, that's just inexcusable.
2 separate articles about what a weak campaign he's running today. Probably not a great sign.
The most infuriating part is that The Establishment is basically single-handedly propping him up with their heaving spending and popular surrogates and yet the discourse #onhere among his supporters is solely about how mean The Establishment is and how they're trying to sabotage him because some people have said some slightly critical things about his campaigns (and/or his campaign surrogate streamers) and there are some defections from completely marginal figures.
This is not helpful but not for nothing Jews in Michigan should obviously vote for AES even if he is a raging antisemite because the stakes in the senate are so high.
Like I would vote for the Westboro Baptist Church leader for senate if I knew they'd vote for a liberal Supreme Court justice.
You don't have to like him (I don't!) but putting your identity first at the long term detriment of yourself and the entire country just to spite AES seems.... short sighted.
and to be clear I don't think he's a RAGING antisemite lol.
This man is a hero. It is courageous to speak out against the DSA and Piker knowing the mobs who support them. Most of all, he's courageous enough to call @AbdulElSayed out as the dangerous radical he is - Michigan, do not vote for El Sayed.
@CathyYoung63@RichardHanania Did you watch the video of the woman? Because I really, really doubt you’d find a way to waive this away as trolling if the ideological positions of her and the guy were reversed.
Other thought on this: This kind of person, who is already prevalent within Dem staffers and interest groups, will become even more prevalent once boomers die out. Once people my age (30) are dominating the party in 10-15 years it’s going to be very bad
this is not a small group of people on the left anymore, but a large, dominant faction without whom democrats can’t win elections. and there is no debating them, because they aren’t interested in changing your mind. they just earnestly want you to die.
@AutMariners For what it's worth, I also loathe mariners fans nowadays. Seattle locals have become uniquely contemptable over the past few decades, and I blame the tech boom for importing these weak kneed, virtue signaling dorks.
If the Downtown Seattle Association’s own survey shows most businesses don’t see hope that the ultra costly, overly regulated, not tackling the real policy issues landscape won’t change, why would you want to cozy up to the other DSA (Dem socialists) adjacent mayor on homelessness plans...? Business’ own advocates aren’t calling out the truth so it wouldn’t inspire people to stay. https://t.co/IfOa8mQQ1O
@HuskyFanPodBDTW It’s not even going to take a recession (at a national level) to cause issues
Election results are going to go a long way in defining how rapid people adjust their own views of their futures in the region
If you haven’t already begun at least thinking about options you should
Twitter is great for hyperbole. But the economic outlook for Seattle right now is very concerning. This city is going to get hit very hard in the next recession.
@JeffReynoldsSEA People in Seattle and in wa state are completely disengaged and ill informed. The only people paying attention are the hard left radicals who are loud and their livelihoods depend on the govt trough.
Haley Stevens on voting for Abdul El-Sayed:
"I still very much want our Democratic nominee, his name is Abdul, to win this race. There is so much on the line. But I will be honest, there are a lot of voters in Michigan, I was out knocking doors earlier today, and they are still undecided and they are hurt and they are confused..."
