@RickWassmuth@catturd2 My thoughts are that bombs dropped on Japan were less about forcing compliance and more about saving American lives lost in an invasion. The Allies believed the Japanese in 1945 would not stop fighting unless they failed annihilation. The bombs avoided a prolongation of the war.
