Seems like it’s time for interested First Nations to revive the Six-Point Strategy on Aboriginal Title, that the late Arthur Manuel developed, as Co-Chair of the Delgamuukw Strategic Implementation Committee (DISC)!
Looking back on a summer full of adventure ☀️ Winona had a blast exploring Christie Conservation and African Lion Safari! 🌿🦁

@ccpa@DavidMacCdn It’s starting to feel like non-Indigenous folks are getting a taste of what Indigenous communities have faced for generations — big promises, then a bait-and-switch.
Budgets sound bold, but delivery falls short.
We’ve seen this story before.

Jordan’s Principle isn’t abstract — it funds Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Psychologists who travel from cities to remote First Nations to support kids. Non-OHIP covered services. #budget2025#cdnpoli#HealthCare
Most are small business practitioners.
Budget 2025 puts the weight of this country on the backs of First Nations again. Supports cut, Jordan’s Principle limits tightening, post-secondary + fire-prevention needs ignored. We are always asked to do more with less. This is not reconciliation — it’s abandonment. #cdnpoli
#Budget2025 front-loads #Indigenous Reconciliation” but guts real support after 2025–26.
Emergency management $706M → $0.
First Nations K–12 $155M → $0.
Post-secondary? $0.
Fire + flood prevention? $0.
One-year funding is not reconciliation — it’s abandonment. #cdnpoli

Canada created the backlog - and left the burden of it on the shoulders of children. The best holiday gift Canada could give is to take responsibility, roll up its sleeves and fix the problem it created asap. Vague answers and violating legal orders does not help kids
Breaking: another win for children, youth, families and Jordan’s Principle. Orders Canada to immediately address the thousands of unopened requests, pay bills on approved requests in a timely way and more🧡
While we tend to think of the K*K*K as something that only existed in the United States, there was a period of time in the 1920s when the group was very large, and politically powerful, in Western Canada.
Let's learn more about this dark time.
