Senior pets have a hard time getting adopted. The likelihood of adoption is only 25% compared to 60% for a younger dog. Unfortunately, this is often due to prejudice. I want to raise awareness with this comic.

A reminder that children with ADHD become adults with ADHD, and autistic children become autistic adults. You can’t grow out of ADHD or autism. If someone is born with a neurodivergent brain, they don’t one-day wake up neurotypical. They will always be neurodivergent.
@alienpilled@chronicallybeee They not only forget, but when we point it out they double down by saying "we weren't talking about YOU" and it's like, YES. I KNOW. THAT'S THE PROBLEM. 🤦♀️
@ItsNameIsWrath@chronicallybeee Abled folks will always think our comfort isn't as important as theirs but then try to make excuses and act like that's not what they're saying.
disabled people exist and sometimes disabled people NEED services for accessibility- services that you deem unnecessary, a luxury, or “for lazy people”
When Autistics and ADHDers respond to something you say by speaking about a similar experience we’ve been through, our objective is to empathise with you, bond with you, and show you that you’re not alone, not to compete with you or divert any attention or support away from you.
The deep victim blaming that’s happening over this situation is making my stomach hurt so much. Imagine being this woman and realizing this is how ppl are talking abt your situation all over twitter
I hear every day from my fellow #ActuallyAutistic comrades that it's "normal to be exhausted at the end of the day, every day". For MOST of us, this is indeed our experience.
But it isn't "normal". This is is a low-level form of Autistic Burnout.
