@Hope_Eterna@Microinteracti1@WallStreetMav We will see. So far, we haven't heard anything. Whatever they are doing is behind closed doors, as for the exact negotiation, the key players are quiet.
Statement from the Danish PM. Abundantly clear that Trump has gained nothing beyond what he already had. All the drama. All the threats. All the aggression. All for nothing. An utter humiliation for the president. No other way to describe it.
The European far-right spent years simping for Trump, cheering every time he attacked "globalism."
Now he is threatening to invade a European ally and annex territory.
You cannot cheer for the wolf and then act surprised when he shows up at your door
Trump is centralizing power by replacing independent institutions with loyal alternatives:
He destroys trust in the media to become the only source of truth.
He militarizes ICE to avoid relying on the National Guard.
He creates a "Board of Peace" to render the UN obsolete
JUST IN: The Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen, held a press conference few minutes ago to address Greenland and NATO-related issues. She emphasized that Denmark will not cede sovereignty over any part of the Kingdom, including Greenland, and that NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has no mandate to negotiate on Denmark’s behalf.
Frederiksen stressed that Denmark has many strong allies and that the best path forward is cooperation within NATO, both politically and militarily. She highlighted that Europe must secure its own future, and that Denmark is rearming nationally on both the eastern and northern flanks, but always within democratic rules.
Regarding recent U.S. statements on Greenland, Frederiksen made clear there was no negotiation about sovereignty, and any dialogue with the U.S. will focus solely on security, not territorial control. She described the situation as improved after talks with Rutte and stressed the importance of maintaining Denmark and Greenland’s full democratic and political authority.
This comes after NATO Secretary General Rutte met with President Trump, who announced a framework for Greenland, though Frederiksen says any agreement will be Denmark’s decision and Greenland alone.
@Pickmyslip@DaveKeating Yes, and now that the circus is over, our foreign minister and greenlandic representative can meet in private and find out what the US have to offer.
@Microinteracti1@WallStreetMav Dane here. Pretty much, yeah. But now that the retards are circle jerking each other, our foreign minister and Greenlandic representative can hear what they actually have to offer after insulting us for no reason.
@BRICSinfo Let's all agree that this is the way we deal with their absurdity. Tell the circus clown to fuck off, and if they actually want diplomacy, send diplomats - not a geriatric reality TV idiot.
@glenn_tunes And I'll go further: They better bring something to the table at this point. Because this sort of shit just isn't how any respectable countries want to do negotiations. The US administration can fuck off.
@glenn_tunes Yeah, the clown decided to start a whole media circus instead of quietly contacting our extremely skilled and highly experienced diplomats. But they sure as hell is not going to give up any sovereignty.
