Apologies: we're aware of a faulty link on our post earlier today and we're having some technical difficulties with our social media! To hear this month's CATChat with Zoe, Krysia, and Ian, please follow: https://t.co/KbFiY8cpNo.
@Kc8wzm Where only two are gathered in prayer, here Christ is with us ❤️ The fruit of such prayer may be hidden from our eyes at the moment, but it does bear much fruit!
@CardinalDolan Devotion to Our Lady of Knock is especially meaningful to those of us who do not speak ❤️ May Our Lady of Knock pray for all autistic people, and for the Church to be a beacon of hospitality to all the autistic members of the Body of Christ!
@Kc8wzm Let us persist in prayer - and encourage others to pray with us - so that eyes may be opened, hearts may be stirred. Ask, and we shall receive… seek, and we shall find… knock, and the door will be opened. Let us ask, seek, and knock with ever-growing persistence!
@Kc8wzm Amen! This must especially be an integral part of any disability ministry at any parish. So many of us are unable to drive and unable to afford a vehicle. Ministry to the homebound can be, in part, an awakening of the parish/diocese to the extend of the need for transportation.
@KofC Amen ❤️ We pray that Catholic parishes dedicate time & staff to truly listening to the needs of neurologically vulnerable parishioners of all ages, and will strive to adapt & accommodate these needs such that everyone is seamlessly able to show up and engage with parish life!
On this World Day of #Prayer for #Vocations: We pray especially for #autistic people pursuing vocations in the #priesthood, #religious & #consecrated life, that they will be welcomed, supported and embraced by the communities and orders to whom they are called by God to follow.
#Autistic#StationsOfTheCross 14: Hope Against Despair
Father of mercy,
grant us Your strength and wisdom,
that we may follow you in all things.
When we experience failure & taste death,
may Your promise of abundant life, love & joy
be our hope as we walk on our journey in You.
@EWTN Please bear in mind, many who leave Mass early may be autistic - physically overwhelmed - and have valid reason to do so. Many disabilities are not obvious. Let us pray with charity and compassion for those who leave early, not equate them with Judas.
