Uganda and Sharjah Strengthen Economic and Trade Cooperation

His Excellency Zaake Wanume Kibedi, Ambassador of the Republic of Uganda to the United Arab Emirates, held a productive meeting with His Excellency Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), to explore opportunities for strengthening bilateral trade, investment, and economic cooperation.

During the meeting, Ambassador Kibedi presented the preliminary programme for the Uganda–UAE Business Forum, scheduled for October 2026, which will bring together senior government officials, leading business executives, and representatives of major Ugandan companies to explore new partnerships and investment opportunities.
