Today with comrades @HenryBasaliza1 @rutashararaS and other patriotic officers @MollyMukidiS @MwesigyeFranks @asaphnahurira1 and others met a team of great people and mobilizers from Bunyangabo district at the PLU Secretariat.

We shared among other issues:
Fighting theft of public funds,
Increasing oversight on government programs,
Mobilizing masses to embrace government programs,
Encouraging our people to participate and support NRM/PLU candidates in the upcoming Lc and women council elections.
I encouraged them to be good ambassadors of PLU in the above issues because that’s what Plu and our chairman @mkainerugaba stands for.

I thank comrade @HenryBasaliza1 for his great mobilization and the curtesy visit.

I welcomed Mr. Benjamin Dousa, Sweden's Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade, to State House today.

Our discussions centered on enhancing trade and investment.
Our investment code in Uganda is robust; we offer a tax holiday of 10 years, and we are working hard to enhance electricity production to bring the cost down to no more than US$0.05 per kilowatt-hour for manufacturing. We are also focusing on other enablers, such as the railway.

I, therefore, welcome Europeans to partner with Africa, Uganda, and Sweden in particular, to identify and implement areas of economic cooperation, trade, and investment.
