Pounds of butter should be packaged with 2 sticks salted and 2 sticks unsalted: cooking butter _and_ eating butter, in a single package. Thanks for coming to my TED talk
@radbrowndads wait this is fascinating. I always figured that the places that were advertising themselves as halal were strict/were doing it because they believe in it and want food that they would eat themselves ...
@MikeHotDogMayor Ok, now that I know they're one of the wild cats with the long ears: they eat 3 lbs of raw meat a day?! And they stink? I just don't understand the appeal.
@sam_d_1995 I can't believe that there are people who think that the (horrendous, anti-everything-that-public-health-initiatives stand for) NYC habit of heaping garbage bags on the curb is anything akin to "neighborhood character"
@conorsen I think it's only the northeast that does that! Grew up going back to school the day after labor day, was surprised in ATL when kids returned early August, even more surprised to see that also be the case in California
@MikeHotDogMayor Wait this isn't a terrible idea? Caramelized onions, Malört reduction, pancetta, peas? I think the grapefruit peel/bitterness doesn't work with creaminess but do think it would work with something very fatty
@daught3rz1on Are there no lower-priced gifts on there? Wild to me that there aren't like $10 measuring-cup sets/whatever the digital equivalent of that is
@kristoncapps Wow. TIL car-culture NIMBYism is enough of a drug to make someone think that the gross NYC practice of heaps of garbage bags at the curb is somehow "character and history"
Who _are_ these people?
@MaxPatten@mateosfo yup. Every time I've been nearly sideswiped on my bike it's been someone who should have their license taken away because their reaction time and peripheral vision just aren't there anymore
@rohindhar I'd probably do coastal nature stuff instead—Hendy Woods/Mendocino County—or Yosemite, but this is solid. Some gold country tourism—Empire Mine in Grass Valley is phenomenal—could also be a fun add on an eastward-going itinerary.
@ItsMrsPlugg My side of the family (Colombian) was so helpful. My husband's mom expected to be waited on as if she were an honored guest, doing us the favor of holding the baby
@Denverbfx5@UrbanCourtyard Secaucus is south/southeast, not west, of the stadium. and the American Dream is closer to Manhattan rather than farther (different orientation than shown in the rendering ...)
