Pounds of butter should be packaged with 2 sticks salted and 2 sticks unsalted: cooking butter _and_ eating butter, in a single package. Thanks for coming to my TED talk
@stefanoscalia A modest proposal: two completely different prices for people who have their phones on and at the table vs away/off: double for the former
@yopotnawhiz You know what's getting me so much in the feels about @NYCMayor? The details: water fountains, night-lit soccer fields, and the whole snow-shoveling operation. Just great little quality-of-life bits that add up.
Man I've been making the YIMBY case against fossil fuels for 15 years and now Chevron just comes right out and ... writes a giant check to the NIMBY.
Folks it doesn't get more on the nose than this. NIMBYism benefits the oil industry.
@votewithsway I don't see special districts on the ballot download! I do see city and county. (Note that my address' school board and city council seats aren't up for election, so I don't expect to see them.) I'm running for a special district; would love to be included!
@hyphy_republic@rideact I want people to vote for me on my own merits. But I also want people to view how the agency is currently operating re: its respect/lack thereof of California law and its riders, and I want people to vote against that. 4/4

@hyphy_republic also would have been.
I'm running for @rideact board of directors on a platform of reliability, affordability, and agency transparency. The statement read at the meeting and the September 15 press release are clear indications of the current
_lack_ of transparency. 3/x
