@CharlieZajicek @flyingless@GretaThunberg @mmbuchs I think we need to remember that not flying is the norm. Flying is still ‘primarily’ the preserve of the wealthy & powerful. Even in a rich industrialised nation like the UK, ~75% of flights are taken by ~15% of the population, & in any one year ~50% of the population don’t fly.
Why we do what we do.....If pre-COVID aviation growth rates resume, air traffic alone would contribute a massive 0.1˚C to global heating by 2050. Time to STOP expanding airports.
