“[The mass market is] not using ChatGPT, they’re not using Gemini…you can insert whatever you want, they’re not tying those digital assistants to their messages, their photos, their calendars, the phone app, the voicemails, there isn’t that connection. So those digital assistants do not have visibility into their personal context like that. Siri AI does,” says @NeilCybart.

“WWDC 2026 was not going to be Apple’s response to agentic AI. We are too early for that. But I think you can see how Apple Intelligence is being built so that Apple can add greater autonomy, greater empowerment to something like Siri over time,” says @NeilCybart

“I don’t need to see Apple’s response to agentic AI [at WWDC 2026], I need to see Apple’s response for what does it mean to have personal intelligence with context,” says @NeilCybart.

AVALON Episode: Let’s Hear From Siri
@NeilCybart discusses his thoughts and expectations heading into WWDC.
In addition, IPOs (SpaceX, Anthropic, OpenAI) are expected to cause an issue for tech stocks. In terms of second-order thinking, are such concerns warranted? Neil shares his perspective.

“The more I use Apple Vision Pro, the more…familiar I become with that form of computing, it’s actually harder for me to see how smart glasses really change things. I feel like they’re still missing something,” says @NeilCybart.

“I think a lot of people look at [Apple’s spatial computing efforts] as Apple’s focused on one product and if there are any signs of movement or resource allocation away from that product, then that means it’s done. That means that product, that future trajectory is in trouble and instead let’s look out where resources are being reallocated to, that must be the future, that must be the product Apple’s getting behind.
I think that’s very difficult to do with spatial computing, where the ultimate goal that Apple has here is a lineup of various devices,” says @NeilCybart.

The AVALON podcast is officially a year old today.
The 49th episode was released this week.
A big thank you to AVALON listeners who have joined me on the journey this past year. I am proud to say that AVALON is one of the few podcasts out there that is 100% financially supported by its listeners.
On to Year 2.
This week’s AVALON episode was exactly what I had in mind when starting AVALON. Talk about five to seven topics that I’ve been examining / analyzing via @AboveAvalonPlus and @InsideOrchard and which I have more to say.
We talked about the parts of Google I/O that were incredibly compelling and the parts that were a joke.
The episode also included 22 minutes of what’s going on with the Ferrari Luce. I think people are looking at the wrong things.
Check out the episode below. 🎧🔊
The AVALON episode below came out last week. I talked about the continued media nonsense surrounding Apple Vision Pro. I should coin "AVP Derangement Syndrome."

Apple’s product strategy isn’t to create some type of hierarchy in which products deemed the future are placed in front of other devices that Apple thinks will flame out. “I don’t see John Ternus following that strategy,” says @NeilCybart. Instead, Apple can be both aggressive at the fronter while also being just as aggressive with legacy devices.
