Environmental disaster brewing as massive quantity of tiny plastic granules from #Kochi shipwreck started beaching in #Thiruvanathapuram beaches travelling over 200 km from the wreck site. In coming days, these harmful microplastics can hit the Kanniyakumari and even enter ecologically sensitive #GulfofMannar coral reefs habitat. It is nearly imposssible to carry out a clean-up. At best, we can only monitor its adverse impact. This is going to be a serious issue.
