Agree that FB groups killed forums, but with proper moderation, FB groups can successfully build good communities.

Completely agree. Not only did we lose the interactions in the move to FB Groups, but also the amazing knowledge share as the idiosyncratic forums adjusted to the 1size fits all FB platform.

And then, with out the relationships and moderating, they all devolved into swapmeets.
