HOW LONG DOES IT ACTUALLY TAKE?

Everybody says their crew can get it done.
Good. Bring them.
We’re measuring how long it takes to move firefighters, equipment, air and water through a tall building.

Fire breaks out at Shockoe Bottom apartment complex

[Average Jake @AverageJakeFF]

@lou_nautic To me the only thing to think about is can I occupy that space based on the conditions present, the other factors are irrelevant IMO

Time of day and cars in the driveway should not indicate if you should search or not!!!!! #firemanship

In the @IFD_NEWS rescue they used the “halligan hop” to get into the window which is awesome! My brother Dave came up with a twist and I recommend you try it!

Just something for fire service leaders to remember when assigning work or tasks Make sure as a leader you are providing value to your subordinates & supporting them when they need it, not just being an idea fairy, dropping things off but taking all the credit & sharing no blame

Currently working with MD Stadium Authority and @BmoreCityDOT on traffic and upcoming orioles game

[Baltimore Fire @BaltimoreFire]

Be advised - 5 alarm fire downtown. The scene while still highly active is largely contained. this will impact traffic and movement down town for the next few hours. Please plan accordingly. @BaltimoreMayor @BmoreCityDOT

@BldgFFDev If someone says I know someone is in that room what would we do?

[Average Jake @AverageJakeFF]

These windows lead straight to a bed room, what’s your plan? Searching bedrooms isn’t always about VES or targeted search above grade! #firefighting #firemanship #search

[Average Jake @AverageJakeFF]

@BldgFFDev It’s a window that leads to a bedroom. Yes there is a front door that opens to a landing with split stairs. With all the talk of targeted search (which I am a fan) we often think of it as above grade. I don’t see a lot of talk about situations like this
