The key to a great budget is NOT what software/spreadsheet/program you use. It's how you communicate about money (either with yourself or with others). Let's work through a good budget meeting.
@jhietpas@CollinRugg I was at a Hyatt in McKinney and checking out to see a cyber truck driver in the parking lot trying to get sharpie off his vehicle trunk. It read “Elon just overdose and die”
@jhietpas@CollinRugg Sorry. Doug and I have both largely moved on from Twitter. That guy is all everyone was talking about in TXK for about a week. Did he think there wouldn’t be cameras?
@InvestQuietly He's still around! He quit several years ago when he truly had quit blogging for over a year and had zero reason to do the podcast besides hang out with us. It's a lot of time to do and I was thankful he stayed with us for a long time.
Spotify comments! I was this many years old when I discovered these. So fun...(how come I'm finally seeing this goodness???). We'll start doing polls over there and have some fun.
Some great feedback from our HR Benefits guide - our new Tax Guide is out TODAY!
"I purchased the SBBG because I have been listening to the SB podcast for a couple of years now. I trust the information and guidance I consistently receive from Joe, OG and guests. I also enjoy the humor and banter on the show. I read Joes book Stacked and the guidance and humor were top notch. My expectation was that the benefits guide would be helpful and thorough which it is. And the guides release is very timely for me and my family."

Since my feed is constantly full of politics, I came back to ask, "What happened to the price of gas and eggs going down?" It took less than two weeks for a reversal on another set of fibs. If like me, you're sick of half-truth drivel, you can find me on Bluesky (no politics on my feed there at all...much better).
@Eric_Hansen71@AffordAnything That’s funny. Sorry it took so long to answer. I post mostly on Bluesky now. Far less politics. I couldn’t get it out of my feed here.
@Livebylamplight @AverageJoeMoney@earnaninvest Yes it was!! 😀 Joe said that on the Afford Anything podcast, although he was quoting someone else when he said it.
I find it intriguing when fee-only financial planning firms pay commissions to influencers to hock their amazing "we don't charge commissions" product. ...and all of their advertising rips into any financial planning other than fee-only and CERTAINLY talks down to advisors who accept commissions.
