As the world’s eyes are turned toward the ‘World Cup’ stadiums and teams compete for the trophy, our little champion ‘Mohammed’ plays alone in Gaza—not on green grass, but on the sand of makeshift tents and among the ruins.
An hour ago, Israel carried out a terr*r strike on a car in Gaza City, killing at least three people, including Abdel-Jawad Abu al-Laban, who had gotten engaged just two weeks ago.
Among the items recovered from the car was the invitation to his engagement celebration.
Another victim was Tareq Abu Saif, whom journalists identified as the director of Peace Dove, an organization that helped restore parts of al-Shifa Hospital and repair lecture halls at al-Aqsa and al-Azhar universities.
Third victim was identified as Talal al-Nabih

Forty days on, Youssef Al-Najjar remains bedridden after being struck by an Israeli shell while trying to earn a living on a small rowing boat. He returned from seeking a livelihood for his family with a shattered body and a deferred dream, and is now in urgent need of treatment abroad, as such care is unavailable in Gaza. His wife is in her ninth month of pregnancy, and their first child may be born before he gets the chance to hold him.
Israel is committing a new massacre in Gaza. There were only a few minutes between me and the missile, less than five minutes between me and death. Between entering my library and the missile was just a decision to walk quickly.
Right in front of the library, Israel bombed a car and the people in the street.
When will we be finished with all this injustice? And where is the ceasefire they claim?
This is an absolute emergency; the situation they are facing is beyond cruel—it is impossible to describe.
They need you.

This is Suleiman Al-Obeid, a Palestinian football player who was murdered by Israel.
As the world watches the World Cup, this is a reminder that Israel has murdered at least 810 professional athletes in Gaza since October 7th, 2023.
Watch | Former Palestinian detainees Abdul Karim Al-Rimawi and Mohammed Al-Zaghoul Abu Firoz reunite for the first time outside prison after spending years together in detention.
gaza is the worst humanitarian catastrophe of the modern era. even the warsaw ghetto didn’t have drones and quadcopters hovering above them 24/7, ready to kill them at any moment. just think about what that does to people mentally

@ICRC@ICRC_ilot no statements? No outrage? Why suddenly silent when all Israeli hostages have been freed? Why haven't you uttered a word about Palestinian hostages? Biased and racist institution doing Zionist Dunant proud.
Let's just say many Iranians can't still believe what they are seeing and hearing. For them, the terms of the Iran-US MoU sound too good to be true, leaving little room for hardliners to oppose. The best argument that the hardliners can muster is something like 'what if this is all a trick?' or 'how dare you make peace with the killers of our beloved supreme leader?'. Trump's press conference and the text of the MoU makes it a more difficult sell for Washington than Tehran. Hence, the challenge for Iranian negotiators now is to not blow it; to avoid being seen like they are squandering this historic opportunity by overplaying their hand.
I am honoured to announce that the historic ‘Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding’ has been electronically signed today between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran. The Memorandum has been signed by honourable Presidents of both the countries and also endorsed by me as the mediator. The signing of this agreement at the highest level of the respective governments demonstrates the commitment of both sides to a diplomatic resolution of the conflict. Islamabad MoU shall enter into force with immediate effect and as a first step, Islamic Republic of Iran will instantly reopen the Strait of Hormuz and the United States of America will immediately lift the naval blockade.
I offer my heartfelt congratulations and sincere appreciation to the President of the United States, Donald J. Trump whose steadfast commitment to diplomacy and preference for peaceful resolution have once again helped end a conflict that could have led to devastating consequences for the region and beyond. I also commend the dedication and tireless efforts of the United States negotiating team, including J.D. Vance, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, for their invaluable contributions to this achievement.
I express my profound respect and appreciation to His Eminence Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Islamic Republic of Iran and President Masoud Pezeshkian for their wisdom, foresight and statesmanship in embracing the cause of peace. I also wish to recognize the efforts of the Iranian negotiating team, including Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Abbas Araghchi and Eskandar Momeni, whose patience, perseverance and commitment to constructive engagement were instrumental in bringing this agreement to fruition.
I would especially like to acknowledge the sincere efforts and constructive engagement of the leadership of the State of Qatar in helping reach this point. I also highly commend the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Republic of Türkiye and the Arab Republic of Egypt for their indispensable role and invaluable contributions in this regard.
I would also like to make special mention of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, whose tireless efforts, selfless dedication and instrumental role were critical in facilitating this breakthrough and advancing the cause of peace and regional stability.
May this Memorandum of Understanding serve as an enduring foundation for greater understanding, mutual respect and shared prosperity for the complete region.

A horrifying video reveals part of the discovery of dozens of Palestinian bodies—most of them patients—at Al-Shifa Medical Complex. They were executed and buried by the Israeli army during its raid on the hospital in March 2024.
