@Avowd_Chi The scariest thing imaginable is that the monsters are just humans. That means it could happen to anyone. Why do you think people are so intrigued by true crime?
@smclellanduk Fair enough. I think of it more in terms of stories that have truth but aren’t necessarily true. The modern horror masterpieces seem to start here the. Loose themselves in the sequels… but the sequels used to be charming schlack
@Avowd_Chi id question the idea that jason is park of folklore but can you point to me in any of the movies where there is a definative reason for jason, or his mothers actions an actual dyed in the wool motive that crystal lake removes?
Watched the Carrie remake,
Now crystal lake.
They’re rewriting our folklore to fit their soulless/medicalized vision of our society.
These villains are really anti hero’s coping with trauma. There’s really no such thing as monsters.
Seems like something monsters would want you to believe.
Serpent Column - 2020 - Kathodos
Serpent Column - 2020 - Endless Detainment (EP)
These are so awesome
Definitely in my Hall Of Fame masterpieces for me forever
Now listening to Serpent Column: Aion of Strife
One of the more complex and interesting Dissonant Black Metal records of this year. Serpent Column goes for a more rawer and less friendly approach that will either make you turn away or catch your attention.
10/10
@ogdensen It’s not the same. She becomes one of them. In the series she doesn’t take accountability. Someone else pulls the trigger for her. Also her mother is just kind of a dick and has unpopular politics.
@OsoBlanc0 “This is Adam’s grocery. Where while running my Frito lay route the Palestinian shop owner pulled a gun on a six year old black kid and called him a mo key for trying to steal a candy bar”
