A warning for women in Galway.

I have received two separate reports alleging that women have been approached by other women who begin a conversation by asking about their perfume. They then produce a bottle, say “smell mine,” and spray it. The alleged victims later woke up disoriented and discovered that money, jewellery and other possessions were missing.

I have not independently verified these accounts, so I am presenting them as allegations rather than established fact. However, I believe they are serious enough to warrant caution and proper investigation, particularly alongside reports of suspected needle-spiking incidents in Galway.

Please do not smell or allow yourself to be sprayed with an unknown substance. If you believe this has happened to you, seek medical attention immediately and report it to An Garda Síochána.
