This “naturally gifted” narrative is one of the most misleading takes in football.
When someone reaches a level that seems impossible, people suddenly act as if talent alone explains everything. Cristiano Ronaldo did not win five Ballon d’Or awards and score over 950 goals just because he worked hard. If hard work alone was enough, football would be full of players with those numbers.
What separates the truly great is the combination of elite talent and an elite work ethic. Ronaldo is not proof that hard work beats talent. He is proof of what happens when extraordinary talent meets extraordinary dedication.
People need to stop using Lionel Messi as the example of someone who succeeded purely because of natural talent. Messi’s genius is obvious, but talent alone does not sustain excellence for two decades, win multiple Ballon d’Or awards, or keep a player at the very top of the game year after year. That level of consistency demands sacrifice, professionalism, and an obsession with improvement. We've seen talented players waste away and never attain this height because they lack the consistency and hard work to replicate such heights.
Sometimes the simplest explanation is the correct one. Messi is one of the most naturally gifted footballers ever, but he is also one of the hardest working. The idea that he simply relied on talent while others relied on effort is a lazy and inaccurate way of looking at greatness. The greatest players combine both at a level most people cannot comprehend.
What a final man. Imagine being a Ronaldo fan and being unable to enjoy this absolute masterpiece of a game. It ebbed, it flowed, it turned itself on its head once and again and then a few more times for fun.
The jubilation of the first half, the feeling of comfort after seeing a tactical masterclass and sensing an inevitable win, an illusion shattered in the span of seconds as France SURGED back through the animus of Mbappe, every close call that made you gasp for breath, Drury waxing lyrical and keeping you at the edge of your seat, both teams having almost won it, the greatest save in football history, WOW WOW WOW
what a game of football man
Every single person of a liberal persuasion has mentioned the Muslim names and ignored the Hindu ones when describing the heroes of the Malviya Nagar fire tragedy and that's why folks detest liberals.
I’ve no idea how I survived those 3 hours. From the joy of Di Maria’s goal, to the haunting flashbacks of every final Messi had lost once Mbappe equalized, and then that overwhelming feeling of happiness when Montiel’s penalty hit the net. One of the best days of my life.
Kohli goes to Premanand ji Maharaj by carrying Bhagvat Geeta and not forcing anyone to follow the same.
Moh Rizwan goes to anywhere and tries to convert non muslim people to become Muslim.
I remember this argument made by a Pakistani student from UT Austin at a private event. He said "My country is Islamic so it is fine if we do not treat non-Muslims as equal to us; it's the basis of the founding of our nation but India is secular according to its constitution, therefore it must treat all citizens equally." The shamelessness is unbelievable.
“DRI seizes 3,00,000 electronic cigarettes/vapes worth Rs. 120 crore in a major crackdown on e-cigarette smuggling racket across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Delhi and West Bengal.
These prohibited e-cigarettes were found to be sourced from China in every instance and imported in concealment in the items such as “Furniture” and “Metal Chair Parts”.

The scene where Jassi finds his sister in pump room, is probably the best acting I’ve ever seen from an Indian actor. The range of emotions felt so real! Hats off, Ranveer!
JUST IN: High Court declares Dhar Bhojshala as a temple.

Trump goes to China after losing to Iran, losing all tariff cases in courts, losing popular support at home, failing to end Ukraine war, and losing the trade war with China. Weakest ever state visit by an American President
Udayanidhi Stalin is a man born with a silver spoon. Everything was handed to him on a platter. His film career. His political career. His Deputy CM post. His Chepauk seat. And now, the Leader of the Opposition post. He’s never had to struggle for anything. So don’t expect him to do his research before making statements.
When he said “Sanatana Dharma must be eradicated,” he thought he had gone viral. No one seriously pulled him up for the outrageous remark. Not even the Supreme Court. So he repeats the same line inside the Assembly, albeit with a minor modification. This time, he says, “Sanatana Dharma that divides must be eradicated.”
He could easily have said, “The caste system that divides must be eradicated.” Instead, he once again chose Sanatana Dharma as his punching bag to grab headlines and go viral. He made the statement from inside the Tamil Nadu Assembly knowing fully well that legislative privilege under Article 194 protects him from legal consequences.
Udayanidhi will continue to be Udayanidhi. His half-informed statements should not be taken too seriously because, like many of his Dravidian comrades, he has never bothered to truly understand what Sanatana Dharma actually is.
He doesn't know that it is not a religion. Not an orthodox tradition. Not the Manu Smriti. It is the DNA of all spiritual experience, the most inclusive school of thought known to mankind. Monotheism, polytheism and atheism all find legitimate homes within it. Doubt and dissent are not just tolerated in Sanatana. They are honoured as instruments of inquiry.
Which is precisely why followers of Sanatana Dharma will not burn effigies or manufacture outrage every time someone like Udayanidhi makes a thoughtless remark dressed up as political philosophy. The tradition is too old and too deep to be rattled by a sound bite.
The caste system carries real and serious demerits. Every genuine Sanatani abhors caste discrimination. The Constitution of India has already built systemic corrections to address this social evil. But caste is a historical distortion grafted onto Sanatana Dharma, not its essence.
Just because air can carry a virus, would you mock the very air that keeps you alive? Only an ignoramus would make that argument.
Udayanidhi is fairly smart. He holds a position of real responsibility. If he continues weaponising an untruth he is fully capable of investigating, it is not ignorance driving him. It is agenda. Dravidian agenda.
What a shame @TCS !
