@ZubyMusic Respectfully disagree - however I'm not in your industry, so probably completely different. We make natural products, and scaling up has been so much harder, riskier and expensive than £0-100K. What's your best advice? Spill the tea.
@mrmarkdolan Remind us again how inflation is calculated? We've seen the cost of most of our raw materials increase closer to 26% over the past 12-24 months for sure. From a consumer perspective, 2.6% inflation is a total fantasy. Yet... there we have it. 2.6%.
UK Farmers are undermined on many fronts:
▪️Funding cuts
▪️Bovine TB policies
▪️Subsidy delays
▪️Imported food
▪️Supermarkets purchase pricing
▪️Inheritance tax
▪️Flood protection cuts
▪️Solar on prime farmland
▪️Production costs
It’s time for a fair deal for farmers.
@Raymond82310289 The more you look, the more Bovaer you find. And it goes back for years, in several countries. What other additives are being trialled without your knowledge? Sneaking additives into the food supply chain should not be legal.
I'm a dual citizen, Canadian & British. The Canadian MAID model is a cost-saving exercise where each week of care is costed, and savings are calculated based on the reduction of weeks in care (because the patient is now suicided). There's nothing compassionate about MAID, and it creates an industry that financially gains from the "services" it provides. Medical treatments, even food and water at end of life, are already not administered, speeding up the process of emptying beds. Being with a loved one at the end is a privilege and not a burden. That's the message that needs to be spread far and wide. Thanks for talking about it, Mark. Also, I have read the medications administered for MAID in Canada, first deeply sedate the victim, which can paralise their breathing (see midazolam). Calm and peaceful for onlookers, paralised suffocation for the victim.
I'm a dual citizen, Canadian/British. When I came to the UK frim Canada 10 years ago, through proper (expensive, time-consuming) channels, I soon had to apply for a NI number in person. I was taken, alone, to a private room and interrogated by 2 people (no idea what their job titles were). At this point, I'd been married to my English husband for 14 years and had a valid British passport. They kept me for around 30 mins and questioned me about what my intentions were. I mean, they grilled me right down to... "What colour are your children's school uniforms?" I felt confused, berated, and to this day, I don't know why I was treated like that. I went on to build a successful business and create jobs here.
@NoFarmsNoFoods To be perfectly frank, if Farmers (who are amongst the most resilient and salty of all human beings) do have a mental health crisis... I would be very, very worried. Because they won't be making TikToks, crying in their tractors.
To fully understand the breadth of the seed oil debate, people should take into account the plant oil's balance of essential fatty acids first.
All plant-based oils, including seed oils, naturally contain PUFAs, which are essential fatty acids (fats our bodies need and can’t produce).
Second, there are multiple grades (from Cold-pressed organic, to refined deodorised, etc) of plant oils, and they are not equal whatsoever. Third, there is a big difference in how the body processes plant oils when eaten vs topical application. Tallow is gorgeous if you can get it, but it's animal fat, and that stores toxins, so it needs to be a super clean source.

I'm very concerned about the 1000 hectare solar factory being installed nearby, and how this will affect rainfall absorption in future.
Bedfordshire was severely flooded, causing chaos for families, farmers, and businesses as rivers of water ravaged their way through homes, offices, and fields.
Unfortunately, we did not escape the crisis and are still working through many challenges. #flooding #solarfarm

@Artemisfornow People who have never run a business, and who never will run a business, have a "feeling" about the value of trees on prime farmland. At least someone is asking the question... which they can't 'er answer, of course.
@bobscartoons It’s hard to read this without being overwhelmed with emotion as the memories flood back. Bob captures a period in time beautifully, in a way no one else can. 10/10 from Team Awake
