@Gryphticon@VRChat Even if that were true (it's not), you are ignoring the other half of my statement.
AI Slop drowns out creators worlds, regardless of quality (in the current VRC environment).
@Gryphticon@VRChat The ones being vocal are typically creators.
This is about AI being used in a creative space; where monetization exists. AI Slop worlds can generate money in the VRC ecosystem as well as drown out content made by real people.
So this directly impacts their financial security.
@Najiko10@ShadowriverVR I hope this translates correctly:
The people that complain about AI and the people that use ripperstore are not the same groups of people.
You are equating artists and creators who are equally affected by piracy as if they somehow support it. They are against it as much as AI.
@Mori_vrc assets were accused of copying parts of other models; hands, arms, faces etc; and were completely blacklisted from the Japanese community in perpetuity.
Being unaware of the source does not absolve you from the same thing when you use AI.
@Mori_vrc The Japanese community tends to be protective of their personal 3D assets (getting permission from an author for commercial use); but when it comes to AI they fail to understand that their models are using scraped data without author consent. There's dozens of cases where booth--
@hachiuki There are lots of opinions and some are more extreme but the entire discussion is about disclosure; if you’re using AI there should be a tag assigned to your world.
If you want AI worlds thats fine, but some want to be able to filter them out when they explore new worlds.
