Last week was the annual flying demo and live firing(!) demo of the Swiss Air Force, “Fliegerschiessen”

We took our team to this event at the village “Axalp” in canton Bern. (This connection to the mountains and to aviation inspired us to take the name for our company!)

To keep pushing the technology base for electric flight, this year engineers from Axalp Technologies will be advising and mentoring the latest project team. We look forward to many great interactions with the students – we’re sure both sides will learn something!

Introducing Simon Höhener!

Simon recently completed an internship at Axalp Technologies. He assisted on different projects, for example designing aluminum fittings for electric aircraft battery mounting, and conducting structural analysis of metallic and composite parts.

FIRST FLIGHT! We are excited to announce the first test flights of an aircraft under the banner of Axalp Technologies. Our team is operating a custom-built multicopter as a testbed for flight control systems. Sorry we can't show if off yet, but there are more flights to come!

One of our test teams took advantage of the nice weather this week to do some outdoor ground testing with a new subscale testbed aircraft. (offscreen) We can't wait to fly this vehicle to gather flight data in support of one of our customer programs!

Recently Axalp Technologies celebrated the second anniversary of our founding! Our project work has allowed us to grow from 2 employees then to almost 25 today. We thank our customers for their trust in our engineering work. Growth allows us to serve our customers even better!

We recently shipped a set of custom propeller systems to a customer. These systems are equipped with 5 blades each, designed for electric motors. This customer is using one of our own blade designs and a hub with adjustable pitch blocks. Variable pitch hubs are also available.

Yes, Top Gun: Maverick has made it to Switzerland! Some of the Axalp Technologies team made a pilgrimage to a local historic theater to get some jet-fueled motivation and fun. Now it's time to create callsigns for everyone in the office!
