As an addendum to the post, as I can't edit the original tweet, I will admit that yes, Dontai didn't SPECIFICALLY talk about sony. So I will admit fault there.

That said, what he said in regards to digitally only releases "after 2028" still stands.

Let's not pretend that Sony and Xbox didn't just decide to switch to digital only because they felt like it. GTA 6 was the catalyst to give these companies the excuse to do so, and by buying the game, you are feeding into this decision of theirs further enforcing that this course of change in their policies in regards to physical media, will not change because you decide to boycott a game after the fact.

This is the same guy that shit on a commenter in his stream for complaining that GTA 6 is too expensive and should have physical copies of the game on launch.

Now this retard is flipping the script in regards to Sony and their decision for getting rid of physical media, even saying that "yall" should boycott the next big digital only release.

The problem? GTA 6 IS that next big digital only release, a game he admitted he is going to buy regardless.

Dontai has no spine, and no principles to stand on. He thinks letting the underlings fight the battle for him will actually fucking work, except for the fact that he is contributing to the EXACT FUCKING PROBLEM that he's complaining about by buying GTA 6, let alone any digital game.

This is why these companies are getting away with shit like this, it's because while many a gamer may hate the shit that's going on in the industry, all it takes is for Sony, or Xbox, or Nintendo to jingle and shake the shiny chain of keys around to get people to clap their hands like a fucking seal and buy their slop.

Yeah, das rite, remember when people got really REALLY super mad that Hollow Knight Silk Song only sold digital copies for only $20 dollars, and the review bombing brigades that thumbed it down for not being super duper expensive and unaffordable for the average gamer, and the game totally bombed and the studio went bankrupt?

Oh wait, that's right. NONE OF THAT HAPPENED. In fact, it sold a fuck ton of copies, and became one of Team Cherry's best selling games, not because it was cheap, but because it was a great game, and it being $20 dollars allowed people to afford the game and recommend it to MORE PEOPLE.

So yeah, $80 to $100 for a video game, is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE for most people to afford.

The hell of it is, the game doesn't even need to be this expensive. Remember the whole thing with the game industry saying that going digital only would only make games more cost effective to make, and make games cheaper? I remember that. Did that happen? Nope.

The fact the game is digital only should MEAN its less expensive to buy as they don't have to work in logistics and costs of printing discs, printing cover arts, buying clamshells for said discs and packaging. But they still want to ass rape your wallet. And they think it's funny.

The thing that breaks my heart is the moment when he goes from wanting to fight, to just asking the officers to arrest him. It's like there's that moment in his mind where he has, as alcoholics call it "a moment of clarity", and switches from aggression to dapping it up with the cops.
