Abolish Section 123 of the US Atomic Energy Act.
Allow all allies to enrich and reprocess nuclear fuel.
End the global dependence on the Russian enrichment monopoly.
BREAKING: Russia and the US are discussing building US data centers running on Russian nuclear power, per Putin's economic envoy Dmitriev.
"We are discussing joint projects in the field of Russia-USA data centers, including with the use of our nuclear power plants," Dmitriev says.
He says Putin and Trump are discussing a wide range of projects. "I think we will be announcing some important initiatives in the near future."
"We have previously said that there is a very large synergistic effect between Russia and the United States in the Arctic, in the LNG sector, and in other energy projects," Dmitriev adds.
This is deeply disturbing:
Anthropic secretly invited religious leaders to SF to advise them on AI safety, had them sign NDAs, but then primarily tried to convince them Claude has a soul & moral standing, all while wining & dining them to the max. 1/ https://t.co/4Z7Yk9rwk2
Generous.
What the Hugging Face incident *actually* shows that it’s more like someone whose user name is “admin” and password is also “admin” is lecturing us about how Shor factoring algorithm is the real problem and getting away with it.
“Summer2026” would be a step up.
No, it is not, but in Trump’s mind it is.
Trump lives in a world which could be labelled as Hierarchy-Tribute.
Trump sees and treats peers Xi, Putin, and Kim as co-equals whose interests are to be accommodated through personal rapport between strongmen, mutual flattery, and the tacit recognition of spheres of influence. Peers are never asked for accommodation; they are offered bargains.
Meanwhile, allies are subordinates and disciplined for tribute. The currency is defence spending, market access, energy concessions. Allies are bearers of obligation and not sources of advantage, and are addressed through burden-sharing and tributary loyalty.
@ColtMarten@TheStalwart@MikeFritzell I I have long proposed that Japan, S Korea, and Taiwan developing nuclear weapons is the best way to To bring peace in East Asia and avoid American entanglement.
CANADA can partner with South Korea on both their nuclear submarine and nuclear weapons programs.
We both have nasty, unpredictable, nuclear armed and belligerent neighbours.
@Y_Wenli I'm not sure I agree with your dad. Violently oppressive governing entities that justifying their existence with weird ideologies (that they often don't live up to in any case) are sady quite human.
@Tao_Collective@Y_Wenli As an aside, much like the "Israel controls America" meme, I think we'd do well to not use the "ROC occupation" / "US client state" as a crutch to justify our own cruelty and selfishness.
We are not a powerless people, so we bare responsibility for our own words and actions.
@Tao_Collective@Y_Wenli I can understand this as it pertains to lack of open condemnation for Israel, but as far as I'm aware nobody is holding a gun to Billy's head when he did this (with essentially no domestic backlash):
A warm welcome to @AIPAC’s 1st delegation to Taiwan. As we deepen strategic partnerships, invest in advanced tech & enhance our defense capabilities, we look forward to closer #Taiwan-#US-#Israel cooperation on security, trade & beyond, promoting peace across the Taiwan Strait.
@Y_Wenli This, in my view, out of a perverse but understandable sense of envy: For all our efforts to do good for the world, the world abandons us to the wolves for their "rules-based order", which they now smash to pieces to defend the "right to exist" of their spoilt, genocidal baby...
Now is the perfect time for Taiwan to source military-related components and small weapons systems from "non-compromised" companies and nations. It's not to spit in the eye of the US, it's to say "we are reducing dependence to increase resilience. we don't expect or demand help."
So now is the perfect time to delink Taiwan defence spending from the US and big ticket items and ramp up indigenous Taiwanese production of any kind of weapon, decentralised, designed for a cramped Taiwan theatre of war to wage relentless attrition against invading PRC forces.
