Inaugurated the 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐆𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐦 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞 and laid foundation stone for the 𝐅𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲-𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬’ 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐥 at the Aquaculture & Biodiversity Centre, @GauhatiUniv, in the presence of Hon’ble VC Prof. Nani Gopal Mahanta.
These initiatives will strengthen capacity building, skill development, research and knowledge sharing in Assam’s aquaculture sector. The programme also saw the signing of an MoU between Gauhati University and ICAR to promote collaborative research and conservation of fish genetic resources.

Zubeen Garg was not only a legendary artist from Assam but also a cherished friend of Arunachal Pradesh. His God-gifted voice, unmatched talent, and immense contributions to music and cinema enriched the entire North East.

Through his songs in Adi, Galo, Nyishi, and many others, and with memorable shoots in Namsai and Tawang, he expressed his deep love for our State. His performances here earned him affection that will never fade.

Though his untimely demise is a great loss, Zubeen’s melodies will continue to inspire generations and his legacy will live on for years to come. Along with the brothers and sisters of Assam, we, the people of Arunachal Pradesh also deeply mourned his untimely demise.

While Assam was his home, Zubeen had a huge fan following in Bengal owing to the large numbers of songs he sang in Bengali.

It is heartening to see the film fraternity of Bengal pay their tribute to the legendary artist.
