Happy to be a part of the #AIforSocialGood program with @GoogleAI India and @helpmum_ng. We will work to improve maternal and infant health in Nigeria using AI.

@rpokolkata kindly address this issue at the earliest. Per your email, police recertification could not be initiated on your part due to a technical error in the passport seva portal, but now you sent a message saying passport has been impounded.
I'm an Assistant Professor of CS at the College of William & Mary, USA, with invited lectures in Austria (11 July) and Germany (August). Requesting urgent portal fix and passport restoration. Full documentation available. @MEAIndia@PassportSevaMEA@DrSJaishankar
DVRP-AR: Dynamic Vehicle Routing Problem with Prompt Confirmation of Advance Requests: combining reinforcement learning for prompt confirmation with anytime algorithm for continual optimization. Accepted for publication at ACM/IEEE ICCPS 2026 @iccps_conf#ArtificialIntelligence
I will be at #NeurIPS 2025 in San Diego from Dec 2–7. We have two papers, one on planning under partial observability and another that introduces a tool for modeling non-stationary MDPs. Come talk if you are working on decision-making under uncertainty! @NeurIPSConf
Join us at #ICLR2025 in Singapore!
Submit your work at the intersection of machine learning and climate (biodiversity counts!) by Jan 31.
We especially encourage submissions that are focused on:
🔢 data-centric methods and challenges
🌏 focused on the Asia / Pacific region
I have to say that #ICLR2025 was really toxic and crazy.
I spent almost 20 hours reviewing six papers (including reviews as an emergency reviewer) and several times more time preparing the rebuttal. I spent a few more hours in the post-rebuttal discussions and increased my scores on three papers.
However, unlike previous years, almost no reviewers have responded to my papers. Except for one reviewer who said: I keep my score since 'Additional experiments should be prepared in the original paper, rather than addressed during the rebuttal.', 'The obvious typo shows that this paper is not fully prepared.'
Truth be told, it took me a long time to hold back my anger to not take it out on the paper I was reviewing. I hope that next year ICLR will invite more professional and responsible reviewers, instead of inviting a large number of people who should not be invited as reviewers just to reduce the reviewing burden.
Our work on the foundations of equitable transit networks, led by doctoral student @pavia_sophie and Juan Carlos Martínez Mori, won the #INFORMS Diversity Equity and Inclusion Best Student Paper Award.
This is insane! My PhD student, who got 2 accepted first-authored papers to #NeurIPS2024, cannot attend the conf because the visa processing time in Canada is 10 months (sic!). What’s happening in Canada? It’s time to look for better accessible places to host Neurips!!
