Anele Mdoda shares disturbing encounter with Uber driver in Cape Town

South African media personality Anele Mdoda recently recounted a distressing experience with an Uber driver in Cape Town.

On the evening of February 23, 2025, Mdoda opted for Uber's "don't talk to me" feature when booking her ride.

This selection reportedly angered the foreign national driver, who allegedly told her, "In my country, we would r**pe you to teach you a lesson."

Fearing for her safety, Mdoda pretended to be on Instagram Live during the ride.

Upon arrival at her hotel, the situation escalated as the driver began shouting at her.

Mdoda recorded part of the encounter and shared it on social media, expressing her distress and highlighting the threat she faced.
