Vozinha had one of those performances where you stop thinking about tactics, runs, or finishing… because you realise you are constantly up against him. Spain did many things right tonight, they created chances, they moved the ball well, they found the right spaces, but the final step always felt blocked by the same presence.

What impressed me most wasn’t just the saves themselves, but the timing of them. A fingertip here, a quick adjustment there, a strong hand at the exact moment you expect the net to bulge.

Those are not random moments, they come from concentration, experience, and belief.
From a goalkeeper’s point of view, you also notice the effect he has on his team. When a goalkeeper performs like that, the entire defensive line grows. And as an opponent, that is the most frustrating thing. Not that chances are missed, but that nothing ever feels clean. Even the “right” actions are not enough, because he is already there anticipating it.

There are games where a goalkeeper simply keeps his team alive. And then there are nights like this, where he makes the opposition question everything they are doing.
