The Zangezur Corridor, which will be another branch of the East-West Corridor, will definitely be constructed based on the document signed at the White House on August 8 by the President of the United States, the Prime Minister of Armenia, and myself.

🇦🇿From Independence to a Global Vision: Azerbaijan
ADA University students hosted an event at the Romanian-American University, showcasing Azerbaijan's history, culture, and modern achievements — from the 1918 Democratic Republic to its current role on the global stage.
The Embassy was represented by Counsellor Fakhri Karimli, who spoke on the importance of Azerbaijani-Romanian relations and the role of youth in international cooperation. University Vice-Rector, Ph.D. Habil. Professor Tudor Edu, highlighted how such events contribute to intercultural dialogue and friendship between nations.🇦🇿🤝🇷🇴
Azerbaijan showcased its rich equestrian heritage at Germany’s prestigious CHIO Aachen event, where Garabagh and Dilbaz horses captivated international audiences alongside performances of Azerbaijani national music.
More than 150 Azerbaijani representatives took part in the world-renowned equestrian gathering, often described as the “Wimbledon of horse sports.”
Azerbaijani culture was represented at the International Day hosted by the American School in Bucharest, organized with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Romania.
Visitors experienced an interactive stand featuring Azerbaijan's rich traditional cuisine, our famous tea culture, and national table games. We extend our gratitude to our compatriots within the school's academic staff and student body whose active contribution made this beautiful representation possible.🇦🇿🇷🇴
Azerbaijan had the privilege to host another landmark global event — WUF13, the second biggest international gathering ever held in the country after COP29.
We congratulate all participants, partners, and the UN family, in particular UN-Habitat, on the successful and result-oriented WUF13.
With a record number of around 60,000 participants, WUF13 went down in history as the largest World Urban Forum ever held. The first-ever Leaders’ Segment, convened at Azerbaijan’s initiative, brought greater political momentum to the global urban agenda.
Rich and comprehensive discussions at WUF13 resulted in two important outcome documents — the Chair’s Summary and the Baku Call to Action. As a country that suffered from urbicide, culturcide, and ecocide, Azerbaijan is now rebuilding 9 cities and hundreds of villages from the ground up in Garabagh and East Zangezur. We therefore take pride in the strong recognition by the international community of Azerbaijan’s post-conflict reconstruction efforts, highlighted as a valuable example for other post-conflict contexts around the world.
The ideas emerging from the Forum and reflected in the outcome documents — ranging from clean air and sustainable urban development to the preservation of cultural heritage and the needs of Small Island Developing States — will further enrich and guide the global urban agenda.
At a time of growing global uncertainty, WUF13 represents another meaningful contribution by Azerbaijan to multilateralism and collective action for a better future.
