🇦🇿 The Mission of Azerbaijan to NATO was pleased to participate in the NATO Charity Bazaar Bake Sale at the #NATO HQ. As an active #PfP contributor to NATO initiatives in various fields, Azerbaijan values opportunities such as the Bake Sale, which complement our longstanding engagement in the NATO Charity Bazaar and support charitable and community-focused activities. We were delighted to engage with colleagues and visitors from the NATO HQ through Azerbaijan’s colourful culinary traditions, offering a selection of delicious homemade treats that reflect the warmth and diversity of our rich culture.

The Head of the Mission, @JafarHuseynzade and the Head of @AzMilRepNATO, Colonel Ramil Hasanov were delighted to host a group of participants of the #NATO Familiarisation Programme from 🇩🇿, 🇪🇬, 🇨🇴, 🇬🇪, 🇯🇵, 🇰🇿, 🇲🇦, 🇹🇲, 🇺🇦 in the Mission of the Republic of Azerbaijan to NATO.
Within the framework of the visit to the Mission, participants were briefed with a presentation sharing Azerbaijan's experiences on the practical aspects of #partnership with NATO.
The aim of the traditional bi-annual @NATO Familiarisation Programme is to provide the participants with a detailed overview of @NATO outreach programmes and activities.

🇦🇿 Today, we proudly celebrate the 108th anniversary of the Independence Day of Azerbaijan.

We honor the establishment of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic in 1918 — the first democratic republic in the Muslim world.

This meaningful day reflects our steadfast dedication to sovereignty, unity, and progress, while paying tribute to the sacrifices of our heroes and the resilience of our people. We warmly congratulate all Azerbaijanis on this proud occasion.

Today, the staff of @AzMissionNATO and @AzMilRepNATO paid tribute at the grave of an Azerbaijani soldier who fell in #Belgium during the Second World War #WW2. With pride and deep respect, we honored the memory of the millions of #victims of the war, as well as all our heroes who fought for peace, freedom, and human dignity.

The war, although fought beyond the borders of 🇦🇿, touched every family in Azerbaijan. Out of the 700,000 Azerbaijanis sent to the front, nearly half never returned, many sacrificing their lives in battle.

In addition to its human losses and military participation, #Azerbaijan played a crucial role in securing victory through its vital #oil resources.

Azerbaijan has long been, and continues to be, among the nations contributing to international #peace and #security.

#AZEMoD: armed forces of 🇮🇷 attacked Nakhchivan #InternationalAirport and other civilian infrastructure using #UAVs. We strongly condemn attacks against 🇦🇿civilian infrastructure. Retaliatory measures to defend country’s territorial integrity and sovereignty are being prepared.

NATO Deputy Secretary General, Ms. Radmila Shekerinska (@DepSecGenNATO) is on a visit to #Azerbaijan.

As part of her program, Ms. @Sekerinska visited the prestigious @ADAUniversity and met with the Vice Rector and Member of the @Milli_Majlis 🇦🇿, Dr. Fariz Ismailzade (@fismailzade).

The Deputy Secretary General also met with the faculty and students of the University, engaging in a fruitful dialogue on @NATO and its core tasks, the role of the Alliance in ensuring peace and security, as well as the mutually beneficial Azerbaijan-NATO partnership within #PFP, Azerbaijan’s contributions as an active and reliable partner to the NATO-led Peace Support Operations, including its critical support in the final stage of #RSM by providing the safe evacuation of the Allied forces from #Afghanistan, as well as its contributions to the #EnergySecurity of #Europe.

Dr. Fariz Ismailzade, informed the Deputy Secretary General about the programs and activities of the University,  its international cooperation and enhance educational programs.

Ms. Shekerinska also had a tour of the University, exploring its modern campus and facilities.
