⚠️ Muslim Man Killed Defending Woman From Islamophobic Attack

Belgium — A Muslim shopkeeper who stepped in to defend a Muslim woman from racist and Islamophobic abuse on a Brussels tram has died after being beaten so badly that he succumbed to his injuries.

Driss Atouane, who managed a supermarket in the Schaerbeek district, intervened after a man directed racist and anti-Muslim remarks at a woman aboard Tram 55 in the municipality of Evere.

According to the victim's relatives, Driss was struck from behind with a heavy object after confronting the attacker. He collapsed to the ground, where the suspect continued to kick him until several young men intervened to stop the assault.

Driss, who remained conscious after the attack, was taken to Brugmann University Hospital in Schaerbeek. His condition later deteriorated and he fell into a coma before dying on Sunday morning.

Through my years, I have over 700 games across all ps platforms and over 300 platinum trophies. I buy and play games, because Playstation is my favorite place to play ä.

Please Sony, all I ask for you is to care. To care about the fans like me who love physical media. It's the feeling of having physical discs that I can't describe. Putting into the PlayStation and playing it, no better feeling

As a long time fan, all I ask is that you care. The goodwill I once had is getting smaller by the day and the company that was innovative, fun and made the games I love is not the same anymore.

“It was a difficult shot,” photographer Joan Monfort told The Athletic. “We can say I sweated some blood to take it."

In December 2007, Monfort took a photo of a 20-year-old Lionel Messi, who had begun his Barcelona career just over three years earlier, and Lamine Yamal — who was five months old.

It was published in a 2008 charity calendar organised by Barcelona’s club foundation and newspaper Diario Sport, with the money raised going to UNICEF and other charities around Catalonia.

As part of a yearly initiative back then, members of the Barcelona squad were photographed alongside children. Hundreds of families collaborated, and most of the photos have now been forgotten, beyond the treasured private memories of those who took part.

It just so happens that Yamal, Barca’s star of the future, was paired with Messi, who would go on to win the Ballon d’Or eight times.
