Mohammad Farid alias Aurangzeb (35) was beaten to death by a group of men in #MamuBhanja area of #GandhiPark, #Aligarh, #UttarPradesh at around 1 am on suspicion of theft.

Aurangzeb had visited his friend Rohit and after having tea when he was leaving the place some people saw him and mistook Aurangzeb to be a theif and started shouting, crowd gathered and beat him up brutally with sticks, due to which Aurangzeb fell from the stairs and the men continued beating him mercilessly.

Police reached the spot and took the injured to hospital where he was declared dead.

Hundreds of men gathered and created ruckus as the news of him spread and demanded strict action against the culprits.

Four people who committed the crime have been taken into custody. Other people are being identified on the basis of CCTV.
