I find it absolutely WILD that this is only just becoming a popular opinion
The last three tournaments for Portugal bar the Nations League he’s been atrocious
He was awful for United and has only after three years finally won the Saudi league
He’s not good anymore. Period.
🚨Luis Figo on Joao Neves saying Cristiano Ronaldo is just an ordinary player like the rest of his Portugal teammates and Bruno Fernandes dropping a like under his Instagram post.
🗣️ First of all I respect Cristiano Ronaldo for all he's done for our country all these years. He's a Portuguese legend and loved by everyone but I question his leadership abilities.
In Euro 2004 I was still playing for the national team coach along with Deco. Cristiano Ronaldo was the youngest player in the squad. Everyone treated him with love and respect despite being older than him. We saw his abilities on the pitch we gave him passes to do the dirty job.
Today he's above 40 and still playing for the national team. I expected him to play with little selfishness. Against Dr Congo, Bruno Fernandes was in a better position to score. He was calling for him to pass the ball but he shot instead and failed to convert.
I saw many Portuguese citizens blaming Bruno Fernandes for dividing the team but that's not the issue. Cristiano Ronaldo as the Oldest player needs to unite the dressing room with Roberto Martinez.
If you look at the Argentina national team, you will see all the players treating Lionel Messi with respect including the coaches. This isn't because he won 8 Ballon D'ors,no! he's down to the Earth. He knows how to keep his teammates happy on and off the pitch.
Everyone in the Argentina team can sacrifice anything to see him happy because he treats them like a family and not strangers. Cristiano Ronaldo should learn from that. You can have the talent but Character is very important in every field of life.
This genre of Ronaldo fans are biggest clowns in the world man. Bruno has been Portugal's best player since the 2022 World Cup and it is not even a debate.
Genuinely embarrassing bunch.
It was similar levels of stupidity from the lot during his second stint at United as well.
The drama in the Portugal World Cup camp is an absolute circus. Imagine drawing a World Cup opener and your sister is actively fueling a dressing-room civil war by backing public hit-pieces on your vice captain.
The Americans are cheating at the World Cup. They are reducing the fitness of the Iranian team by not letting them rest, they are increasing home-field advantage by banning most fans from the Global South, and denying or delaying the visas for players from Switzerland to Morocco, not to mention FIFA referees they don’t like the color of. This is worse than the Nazi games because the Americans are worse than Nazis.
Kalau kawin pun menyesal, kalau tak kawin pun menyesal.
Kalau ada anak pun menyesal, kalau tak ada anak pun menyesal.
Kalau pilih kerja ni pun menyesal, kalau pilih kerja tu pun menyesal.
Sebenarnya..
What I want after this world cup is over.
1. USA to NEVER host a World Cup.
2. Infantino to be booted out.
3. Hydration Breaks to never occur when temperatures are at a certain level.
4. Ticket prices to be capped at a reasonable amount.
5. USA to NEVER host a World Cup.
🚨🗣️New: Zlatan Ibrahimovic on Vinicius Junior refusing the mandatory halftime interview with FIFA at the World Cup:
“People are shocked that Vinícius walked away from a halftime interview. I am shocked that anyone thinks he should have stopped in the first place.
Halftime is not a television studio. Halftime is not a podcast. Halftime is not a red carpet. Halftime is the heartbeat of a football match.
For 45 minutes, players are warriors in a storm. They run, they fight, they suffer, they bleed. Then they get 15 precious minutes to recover, to breathe, to listen, to think. And FIFA wants to spend part of that time chasing soundbites? That is like pulling a Formula 1 driver out of his car during a pit stop and asking him how the race is going.
And FIFA’s idea is to shove a microphone in the player’s face and ask, ‘How do you feel?’
How do you think he feels? He’s exhausted.
This is modern football’s biggest disease. Everything is content. Everything is sponsorship. Everything is television. The match hasn’t even finished and they’re already trying to manufacture headlines.
They tell us they care about player welfare. Really? Then why are players playing more games than ever? Why are tournaments expanding? Why are injuries increasing? And now they want halftime interviews too? The hypocrisy is unbelievable.
Halftime is sacred. It belongs to the players and the coaches. That’s where games are won. That’s where tactics change. That’s where injuries get treated. That’s where leaders speak. It is not a media circus.
And don’t tell me this is for the fans. Fans want better football, not a tired player giving a robotic 20-second answer because somebody sold another broadcast package.
Vinícius understood that. He chose football over public relations.
The funniest part? They threaten him with a fine. A fine. As if that changes the principle. If I were there, I’d pay it too. Because some things are worth more than money.
If FIFA really had their way, they’d put microphones in the dressing room and call it innovation.
Football should come first. Not content. Not commercials. Not corporate greed.
For once, a player pushed back. And that’s exactly why so many people are angry.”
🚨 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴:
• Vinícius Júnior 🇧🇷 reportedly refused to give a halftime interview to FIFA’s broadcast team.
🎙️ Journalist: “You’ll be fined for that.”
🗣️ Vinícius: “We’ll pay the fine. Nobody is doing halftime interviews.” 🤯🔥
See, this is where basic football knowledge comes in. At Wolves, Cunha was the main man. Everything in attack went through him. He had the freedom to carry the ball, create chances, and be the focal point of the team.
At Manchester United, it's completely different. He isn't the only attacking outlet. There are established structures, bigger expectations, and more players sharing goals and responsibilities. He has to fit into a system rather than be the system.
What's even more impressive is that despite moving into a new environment, he still produced strong numbers. In fact, United had three players scoring more than 10 goals last season, which very few Premier League teams managed. That tells you the attacking burden was spread across the squad, unlike at Wolves where a lot depended on Cunha.
Also, let's not forget his first season at Wolves. He joined in January 2023 and managed just 2 Premier League goals in 17 appearances. It wasn't until his first full season (2023/24) that he exploded with 12 league goals and 7 assists.
So if he's already putting up good numbers in his first season at a bigger club with more competition for goals, that says more about his quality than it does about any supposed decline.
