Martyrdom is a manifestation of self-sacrifice. A martyr gives his life for the peace and security of others. Such a sacrifice is an outstanding moral virtue irrespective of religion or religious beliefs.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino announces that he will award 2026 FIFA Peace Prize to Binyamin Netanyahu. "Although he did a great job in Gaza, I was particularly impressed by the bombing of the elementary school in Minab".
@yejaazy I can tell you one thing for absolutely sure. Afghanistan wouldn't have 1/100th of what Iran has right now in the next 100 years with the way the previous IEA was governed. Make of that what you will
Pakistan said that it stands with Iran against the US attack, while it stands with Saudi Arabia against the Iranian attack. After seeing the statement, both Iran and Saudi Arabia thanked Pakistan for standing up and asked it to sit the fuck down😭😭
Afghanistan in any form is not acceptable to the Pakistani establishment, so the problem lies with Pakistan, which won't allow Afghanistan to become a stable country.
The Taliban have proven administrative competence—enforcing policies, collecting revenue, balancing budgets.
But execution capacity without openness creates a ceiling. Afghanistan could be great. It requires different choices.
My argument:
When the Taliban gathered all drug addicts by force and imprisoned them, and forced them to work in factories, breaking every international norms and laws in the process, people could have been doubtful, they could have been suspicious, but no, they trusted the law and the process and the leadership, in the end it all worked out, drug addicts are getting rehabilitated, and the most effective rehabilitation program was born, not by blindly following international norms and standards, but by paving the way according to Islamic Laws and Ethics.
When the Taliban detained all the beggars in Kabul, and then separated those truly in need from the career beggars, this broke every international norms and standards, but the Taliban didn’t care, they locked up career beggars for repeated offenses. The people did not complain, they did not spread suspicion, they did not predict a bleak future, they trusted the leadership, they trusted the reforms, they trusted the law, and in the end, it all worked out, and Afghanistan developed the most successful program against career beggars.
The naysayers could have said “no, no, no, this is not how it works, we are living in the 21st century, other Muslim countries are not doing it like this, our Western role models and idols are not doing it like this, this will not work, this will destroy Afghanistan, this will bring about the judgement day sooner and we don’t want that…”
But alhamdulillah, it all worked out and the path to the future was paved with guidance of Islamic law and ethics, not with guidance of “oh but everyone else is doing it differently”.
So what ever the reforms, if it is a legitimate Islamic opinion, don’t act like the world is going to end just because it doesn’t fall in line with international norms and standards.
Be patient, and insha’Allah, more success will follow.
