Nuru’s legacy is a shining example of the power of kindness, leadership, and lifting others up. Her impact will continue to echo through the lives she inspired and empowered. Rest well, my friend - your light shines on 🕊️
In Loving Memory of Nuru Mugambi
It is with deep sadness that we learn of the passing of Ms. Nuru Mugambi, our former Director of Communication and Public Affairs. Nuru fought a long battle with lupus, which she bore with incredible strength and resilience.
For ten years, Nuru played a pivotal role at @KenyaBankers Association, leading transformative initiatives that not only shaped the future of the banking industry in Kenya but also had a lasting impact globally.
Her leadership in projects such as the Banking Industry Sustainable Finance Initiative and the Persons with Disability Initiative was instrumental in driving positive change and inclusivity within the financial services sector. Nuru was the brains behind @InukaSME and @DeafeLimuBank
As Nuru transitioned to pursue graduate studies in 2021, she left behind a legacy of passion, vision, and an unwavering commitment to transforming the financial landscape.
Her contributions will continue to inspire and resonate within the industry.
We extend our deepest condolences to Nuru's family, friends, relatives and all who had the privilege of working with her.
Her dedication and leadership will not be forgotten.
Rest in peace, @NuruMugambi . Your legacy lives on. 🌹
