"I think Valve are already showing this new direction because they have been struggling a bit with the whole case opening thing, which is going through regulations in some countries... So much that they came out with this new terminal where you can buy skins. I think there's regulations that some countries are implementing over this business model that are impacting Valve, and making them find a solution.

The truth is the solution they found didn't solve anything. I think fans didn't have any incentive to buy such expensive stickers, it makes no sense, right? You check the store 2 days before the start of the Major, you look at the FalleN sticker costing $1000 and you go "Wow, I'm going to buy this FalleN sticker for 1k, that's so cool."... Like, come on, this doesn't happen.

I think it would be really cool if people could actually spend little and get some nice stuff. I think that's why it used to work so well, you could participate with very little [money], and sometimes getting lucky. I think that's what moved the community to buy the stickers and what helped the Major.

So, this model that Valve introduced, I understand their limitations and why they are doing it, but I don't think they managed to find a good solution for the teams."

UPDATE..

Je n’aurais jamais pensé devoir en arriver là, mais j’ai encore reçu des menaces aujourd’hui de la part de la même personne. Tout ça a commencé après une simple partie de Valorant, avec quelqu’un que je ne connaissais même pas.

Depuis, je reçois des insultes, des messages à caractère sexuel, des menaces et des tentatives d’intimidation. J’ai signalé les faits et pourtant cela continue.

Mentalement et moralement, ça commence à être très difficile. Je me surprends à appréhender l’ouverture de Discord ou la réception d’une notification. Personne ne devrait avoir à vivre ça pour avoir simplement lancé une partie de jeu.

Je partage ce message pour montrer la réalité du harcèlement en ligne, pas pour lancer une vague de haine contre qui que ce soit. J’espère simplement que cette situation sera prise au sérieux et qu’elle cessera enfin.

Merci à toutes les personnes qui me soutiennent depuis le début. ❤️
