@newbiedm I think the issue is actually that large companies want to appeal to the largest possible audience. The issue is, the average person still doesn’t care, and they alienate the people who do care by watering down/“disney-ifying” the product.
@Gingerblast Agreed. Though the massive team size on some games doesn’t help either. Hard to have a cohesive vision when there’s 300 people working on the project. Not impossible, but certainly more challenging.
@twt_savadava I think a lot of it comes down to the media literacy of the audience. Some people assume that any depiction of a topic is an endorsement of it, but that’s frequently not the case (or shouldn’t be the case) with media targeting adults.
@CorpseKings Isn’t that art form a miniatures game called Dark Age? Pretty sure those guys are part of the Skarrd faction. Don’t think it’s related to Dark Sun though
Concept art commission! A gothic dark knight with heavy emphasis on aggressive silhouette, asymmetric pauldrons, and an eerie porcelain mask
Loved working on this one!
Opening a couple more commission slots! DM me if interested! Retweets are always appreciated!
@Nerdcognito lol you have no idea what you’re talking about. I’ve been running some of the crunchiest games around for years (Hackmaster 5e and Battlelords of the 23rd Century 7e) and even I disagree.
As per the rules of D&D a roll is only required when an outcome is in doubt.
