After @TheAthletic's story ran on Wednesday, the Angels notified Rio Foster's family on Thursday that the team will keep Rio insured through 2026.

They Angels will also pay his salary in 2026.

The new turf is nearing completion. Our @AWRE_Sports camera system is moving through project development. And our new USPBL data dashboard—built to better market our players to @MLB organizations—is officially complete.

Most importantly, we’re aligning our baseball staff to execute the vision.

And on the horizon for 2026: the planned USPBL Development Academy. More information will be coming soon. @USPBLdevelop

New Banana Ball Draft Format 👇

1️⃣ Fan Franchise - Fans get the opportunity to franchise three players from @TheSavBananas, @ThePrtyAnimals, the Firefighters, and the Texas Tailgaters, starting on Wednesday, October 29th and closing on Friday, October 31st. Fan-Franchised players will be announced on November 3rd.

2️⃣ Coach Franchise - The coaches of the Bananas, Party Animals, Firefighters, and Tailgaters will franchise up to 8 additional players from their 2025 rosters. These players will be announced before the draft.

3️⃣ Draft Player Pool will be announced prior to the Draft. Current Banana Ball players who have not been franchised, and some of the most talented and entertaining players from college and pro ball from around the country, will make up the Draft Pool.

4️⃣ The Banana Ball Player Draft Opens on November 13th at 7:00 PM EST for the first five rounds for all six Banana Ball teams. @theindianapolisclowns and @locobeachcoconuts will get two picks in each round to fill their roster of 22 players. The Clowns will have the first pick, followed by the Coconuts.

5️⃣ The Player Draft concludes on November 14th with rounds 6-11 starting at noon EST. This will be announced on Banana Ball social media and not live on YouTube.

Note: Entertainment Players will be cast and announced for each team after the draft.
